Bakuman. Manga Is Getting Two New Prequel Chapters in September 2015

This year’s 42nd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing that Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba will publish two new chapters of their Bakuman. manga to commemorate the theatrical opening of the live-action Bakuman. film. The film will open in Japan on October 3, 2015. Shueisha will publish the first of two Bakuman. age 13 chapters in the 43rd issue of Shonen Jump on September 21, 2015.

The manga will chronicle a time before “Saikō” (Moritaka Mashiro) and “Shūjin” (Akito Takagi) met.

The two creators of Death Note serialized the Bakuman. manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2008 to 2012, and Shueisha published over 15 million copies of the manga’s 20 compiled volumes.

Premiere Date Announced for the Bakuman. Live-Action Film

The Mainichi Shimbun paper’s Mantan Web site is reporting that the live-action film adaptation of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s Bakuman. manga will open in Japan on October 3, 2015. The film adapts Ohba and Obata’s original manga about two friends who decide to become manga creators, aiming to serialize their manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

Takeru Satoh will play Moritaka Mashiro, a boy who aspires to be a manga artist, and Ryunosuke Kamiki will play his classmate and story collaborator Akito Takagi. The film follows Mashiro and Takagi as they walk the path to becoming manga creators. Other cast members include Kenta Kiritani as Shinta Fukuda, Sarutoki Minagawa as Takuro Nakai, Hirofumi Arai as Kazuya Hiramaru, Nana Komatsu as Miho Azuki, and Shota Sometani as Eiji Niizuma.

Hitoshi One is directing the live-action film adaptation of Bakuman.
