The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Is Highest Ranking Manga on Diamond’s Graphic Novels List for 2015

Diamond Comic Distributors has announced its list of the 1,000 bestselling comics and graphic novels for 2015. VIZ Media’s The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past by Shotaro Ishinomori ranked at #105 on the list of top graphic novels, making it the highest placed manga on the list.

Diamond also reported that VIZ Media ranked as the 10th highest-selling comic book and graphic novel publisher in 2015, with a 0.93% retail dollar share and 0.35% unit share for the year. The publisher shipped 270 graphic novel titles in 2015.

Diamond’s rankings include sales made to comic book specialty shops worldwide, and may also include sales made to online merchants and other specialty stores.

Yen Press’ release of Black Butler Volume 21 enters the list at number three.

4. One-Punch Man Volume 1 by ONE and Yusuke Murata

VIZ Media’s release of One-Punch Man Volume 1 falls one spot to number four in its 12th week on the list.

5. Tokyo Ghoul Volume 3 by Sui Ishida

VIZ Media’s release of Tokyo Ghoul Volume 3 falls one spot to number five in its fifth week on the list.

6. One-Punch Man Volume 3 by ONE and Yusuke Murata

VIZ Media’s release of One-Punch Man Volume 3 moves back up three spots to number six in its third week on the list.

7. My Hero Academia Volume 2 by Kouhei Horikoshi

VIZ Media’s release of My Hero Academia Volume 2 holds steady at number seven in its third week on the list.

Black Butler Anime Film Has Been Green-Lit

The official Twitter account for the Black Butler anime franchise has announced that an anime film has been green-lit. Square Enix has also opened a website for the film, which reveals that Daisuke Ono will reprise his role as Sebastian Michaelis in the film, and Maaya Sakamoto will reprise her role as Ciel Phantomhive.

Yana Toboso launched the manga Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine in 2006, and Square Enix will release the manga’s 22nd compiled volume on November 18, 2015. Yen Press is releasing the manga in North America, and it released the 20th volume in July 2015.

The Black Butler manga has inspired three television anime series and three OVAs.
