Viz Media Announces Viz Manga App Promotion

Viz Media is launching an incentive promotion to try out the free Viz Manga App for the first time on the Apple iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, Android smart phone or tablet, or the Kindle Fire. First time users will be able to choose a free volume 1 from a list of over 50 different titles; some of the titles included are: Bakuman., Black Bird, Bleach, Blue Exorcist, Dragon Ball, Jiu Jiu, Naruto, Neon Genesis Evangelion, One Piece, Ristorante Paradiso, and Vampire Knight.

This promotion ends on November 20, 2012.

Viz Media Extending 20% Off Holiday Promotion for Digital Manga

Viz Media has announced that its holiday digital manga promotion is being extended to midnight (PST) on January 8, 2012.

For the promotion, all of Viz Media’s manga titles on VIZManga.com and the VIZ MANGA App for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch will be up to 20% off. Regular prices range from $4.99 to $9.99.

Viz Media Announces Bleach Digital “Jump Ahead”

Viz Media has announced a digital Bleach “Jump Ahead” that will deliver three new volumes of the series during November 2011 to users on VIZManga.com and for digital download on the VIZ MANGA App for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. This “Jump Ahead” is part of a SHONEN JUMP DIGITAL WARP, which is a speed-up of selected titles to bring U.S. readers up-to-date with Japanese releases; in addition, the speed up is part of the preparations for the launch of Viz Nedia’s WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP ALPHA on January 30, 2012.

Bleach digital editions available include:
Bleach Volume 49 – available now
Bleach Volume 50 – available November 21, 2011
Bleach Volume 51 – available November 28, 2011

The print editions of these three volumes will be available at a later date.

Viz Manga App Adds Six New Digital Manga Titles for June 2011

Viz Media has announced that the company will launch six new manga series in June 2011 that will be offered for digital download within the VIZ MANGA APP. The app is available for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The VIZ MANGA APP is available for free through the iTunes Store, and all manga volumes are generally available for purchase and download in the U.S. and Canada from within the application for only $4.99 (U.S. / CAN) per volume. Smile: Pray for Japan Volumes 3 and 4 is also available now; these illustrations were drawn by Takehiko Inoue, and all of Viz Media’s proceeds from the Smile: Pray for Japan releases will be donated directly to the Japanese Red Cross Society to support the victims of the March 11th earthquake and tsunami.
